The Button Foot with Placement Tool for Husqvarna Viking is specifically designed to sew on buttons with precision and ease. Its unique mechanism lifts the button slightly off the fabric, creating a subtle thread shank that makes buttoning effortless and prevents the button from being sewn too tightly.

Thread with both top and bobbin sewing thread matching. Attach the Button Foot by snapping it on. Adjust the Retractable Thread Shank Guide to your desired position. The furthest back will provide no thread shank, the first position gives a shorter shank for lighter fabrics, and the second position (furthest forward) gives a longer thread shank for heavier fabrics.
To ensure proper button placement, use the Button Foot with Placement Tool for buttons smaller than 1/4" (6 mm) and avoid using buttons higher than 1/8" (3 mm). Simply insert the Button Placement Tool into the button's holes, then insert the button and tool into the foot's slot. This will accurately position the button for sewing. Afterwards, remove the Button Placement Tool.
Utilize the 'Button Sewing' option on the Sewing Advisor feature. Modify the stitch width to match the distance between button holes, if needed. Follow the guidelines in your User's Guide to sew on your button effectively.
