How to use the chenille stitching foot:

For optimal results, use sewing thread on both the top and bottom of your fabric. For a stunning effect, layer at least three strips of chenille measuring 5/8" (16mm). Simply place the strips onto the presser foot and attach the Chenille Stitching foot. Then, position your fabric underneath and select a straight, zigzag, or three step zigzag stitch. For precise stitching, choose a short stitch length and a narrow stitch width of 1.5-2.
The chenille stitching foot of the Husqvarna Viking sewing machine allows for precise placement of chenille strips, providing a professional-looking result. For added stability, place a layer of tear-away stabilizer underneath. To achieve a textured effect, add strips in rows as desired. Once complete, machine wash on a cold cycle and dry on a warm setting. Another option is to spray the strips with water, use a stiff brush to create frayed edges, and then speed up the drying process with a hair dryer.
